COVID-19 General Safety Precautions
As a small private practice, I'm the staff and the only person you'll be in contact with. All appointments are confirmed the day before with a symptom check and exposure inquiry. Face masks, hand sanitizer/washing and temperature checks at each visit are required for everyone's safety. The treatment room is continuously purified with a medical-grade H13 HEPA air filtration system and all common surfaces are disinfected between appointments. Please stay home and rest if you're feeling ill.

Carla San Diego, L.Ac.
Licensed & Board-certified Acupuncturist NH
I completed more than 3,500 hours over 4 years of didactic and clinical training in acupuncture, herbal medicine and bioscience at the Pacific College of Health and Science in NYC. Shortly after graduating valedictorian with a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine, I earned national board certification and licensure to open my first private practice in Manhattan. I've since owned and operated clinics in Hoboken NJ, Norwalk CT and now Dover NH.
While always continuing to learn, I practice a distinct style that combines Traditional Chinese Medicine, modern orthopedics and clinical nutrition to balance the body's energy, anatomy and chemistry as one. While my techniques excel at managing pain, I also embrace Chinese medicine’s holistic approach to care offering gentle balancing therapies to support a variety of conditions from mental-emotional, digestive and hormonal issues to gynecological health and fertility/IVF support. Having personally dealt with most of the above, I tried acupuncture over two decades ago as a last resort. Since then, this medicine's remarkable power and sensible approach to health has been my first choice and I look forward to sharing it to with you!
Why Acupuncture?

Pre-dating modern science, acupuncture has been practiced in China for over 4,500 years. It's part of an ancient system of medicine that includes natural therapy with herbs, nutrition, massage and exercise. The basics of it haven't changed much over time, but since it's personalized, treatment is easily adaptable to changing modern needs. Essentially, sterile needles made of stainless steel are swiftly inserted through the skin at specific areas of the body to produce a therapeutic effect. While it may sound odd, it's simply a different way of seeing things to achieve the same goal - healing. Acupuncture is widely recognized throughout Asia as a therapy for common ailments and often integrated into national healthcare systems. It continues to gain popularity in the U.S. and is now covered by most health insurances as well as Medicare. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends acupuncture in its review of over 200 controlled clinical trials proving acupuncture effective for over 100 conditions, including most listed below. As a true holistic therapy, it looks at the whole person and can help with both chronic and acute symptoms as well as get to the root of the problem. But even if you don't have any complaints, acupuncture is also preventative care to help you stay well physically and mentally. So whether you're here because nothing else has worked or just looking for a more natural approach to healthcare, acupuncture may be your solution.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture can create an almost immediate healing effect, providing natural symptom relief while balancing your system on a deeper level for lasting results. A complete assessment and examination at your first visit will determine the best course of treatment. For chronic conditions that have lasted more than 3 months, 6-8 consecutive visits once per week are generally recommended but can vary as each patient is unique. This is best followed with regular maintenance visits for optimal health and wellness benefits. All treatments are customized to individual needs and adjusted for comfort level. A range of techniques are offered that include gentle superficial needling, stronger qi stimulation and targeted trigger-point or Orthopedic acupuncture, similar to dry needling therapy but with a more holistic approach.
Initial Acupuncture Visit* (90 mins, includes assessment, exam, treatment) $150
Follow-up Acupuncture Treatment* (60 mins) $100
*includes optional herbal consultation, excluding cost of supplements

Herbal Medicine + Clinical Nutrition Therapy
With appropriate use, Chinese and western herbs can provide powerful medicine naturally. Like acupuncture, they help to balance and support your body's vital energy or Qi. At the same time, nutrients are essential to the normal biological processes of your body. When your system isn't working properly, it can be hard to absorb the benefits of any supplement and even the healthiest diets may need extra support to heal well. Yintang Therapeutics herbal and nutritional blends are easily absorbed and promote normal system function to enhance your healing ability. Created by a veteran acupuncturist-herbalist and made domestically with organically grown herbs and highly bioavailable micronutrients, this unique line of formulas are inspired by ancient wisdom but designed for modern conditions to support your body's biochemical foundation and energetic function systemically.
Initial Herbal Consultation (60 mins, excluding cost of supplements) $100
Follow-up Herbal Consultation (30 mins, excluding cost of supplements) $50
